Good Sign: Asian Stocks Climb as Financial Bailout Package Approval Nears

Asian stocks climbed for the first time in a week as U.S. lawmakers agreed on a financial bailout to revive moribund credit markets. Shipping companies slumped on concern the rescue package won't arrest slowing global growth.

Macquarie Group Ltd., Australia's largest investment bank, advanced 2.9 percent on confidence a relief package will be passed later today. Investors moved into shares insulated from weakening economies with Seven & I Holdings Co., operator of Japan's largest convenience store chain, climbing 5 percent.

My guess now is there are thousands of bullet holes now in the financial dams across the nation and we as Americans may be asked to help plug these holes up now. Let's all wish the best for this plan.

Lawmakers Say They Have Breakthrough on Rescue Plan

U.S. lawmakers said they made a breakthrough in talks on a $700 billion plan to revive the credit markets and expect to announce an agreement on legislation later today.

Negotiators resolved ``our differences so we can go forward with a package to stabilize the market,'' House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters when talks at the Capitol ended after midnight Washington time. Lawmakers will review a written version of the plan later today, she said. The House may vote tomorrow.

Looks like the stage has been set for tommorow to see how the stock market/ world markets react to the new plan.

Failure is not an option at this point...Its do or die .pray for the best.

Shah Gilani has got it right....His plan calling the Money Morning Plan, because it potentially heralds a new dawn in the credit crisis, addressing the problems from the bottom up, and not from the top down. Wall Streets opens modestly higher on Buffett's $5 billion investment in Goldman Sachs

Financial markets are showing some signs of stabilizing following investor Warren Buffett's $5 billion bet on Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Stocks are modestly higher in early trading, but the credit markets are still strained as they await more news about the government's plan to rescue banks from their bad debts.

Still, Buffett's move is renewing confidence that U.S. financial firms will survive the credit crisis. I am loving any positive news at this point of time. Don't you?

MARKETS WERE 500 TRADES FROM A MELTDOWN

Wow was this close to happening? Read this story:

The article goes on to say Had the Treasury and Fed not quickly stepped into the fray that morning with a quick $105 billion injection of liquidity, the Dow could have collapsed to the 8,300-level - a 22 percent decline! - while the clang of the opening bell was still echoing around the cavernous exchange floor.

The big investment firms have fallen. Hedge funds could be next.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE???

It started out as a normal, sunny great day in Las Vegas.....Sky was blue, traffic was normal, the  neighborhood I was going to show looked great! This is an extremely high end area of Henderson, Nevada and the homes all showed nice here at Horizon Ridge/Eastern.

Then the REAL fun started.

First I could'nt find the right code to open the combination to the door, as the listing agent, who works with me, listed the wrong code.  no problem....call him and find out what it is.....

I called the agent, he was'nt answering his phone.   What next?

I then proceeded to call my Broker, Realty World Luxury Homes Owner: Michele Sullivan.  As usual, being the dependable Broker she is, she provided me with the right code to open the door. After thanking her for her support, I hung up the phone and proceeded to open the door.

My preferred lender, Brian Hammond of Prospect Mortgage has decided to sit this open house with me in case we had some traffic to the home to help pre-qualify  potential buyers.

Then All Hell Broke Loose.....

5 minutes after we both had placed the signs pointing to the property, we both hear a knock at the door.

I open the door, and a lady screams: " What Are You Doing In My House?"

Don't you know I just signed docs and this is now MY HOME?

OOOOHHHHH my gawd....I was panicking to myself, never being in this position before.....

I am sorry Miss, but this house was listed in Contingency, and we did'nt know that it was going to be closed today!

The buyer, God bless her heart, softly mentioned, I know it is awkward and you did'nt know....But I just signed docs an hour ago.....My lender and I started slowly heading toward the door.....not knowing what to expect.

Make a long story short....she was cool and understood what we were doing there on the property and said everything was ok. she proceeded to tell us about how hard it was to get the bank to take care of all the pool problems in the back yard.
