It truly is amazing how far web development has come.  10 and even 5 years ago, if you didn't know HTML, you could create something rather basic with FrontPage.  Now, the resources are available to be able to figure out most things on your own.  Good post ... will be neat to see where things go from here!

Craigslist is a great place to post your listings.  Point2agent makes it easy yo post great listings with click-able links to your web site and email.

I have a free version of Point2agent and have used its html links before on craigs list....works for me!

Thought craigslist would flag ads not tied to a particular property.  If you are having success with getting these types of ads through, it would be nice to know.

Hi Steve,I book-marked this, thanks for the advice.  I've been trying to decide if I should put my listings on Craigs list?  I carry an inventory of around 40 listings, and have been putting them on AR.  How many transactions have your done from Craigs list and in what period of time?  Would you mind letting me know on one of my post or e-mail me from AR, I always forget to come back to check.  I ill return the favor, just ask :).  Liz

Hey Steve~ What a ton of information.I didn't realize that Craigs List and the like could do that.

sure evette: here is the lesson for that task:

The first step I learned from the techies, was to learn how to cut and paste on the computer and then to analyze html code.

To do this, we go to to craig's list, for learning purposes, click here to this page  -  Second Step is to go to the top of the Internet Explorer browser then click "View." A tool bar will come down then you click  "Source" then  go to this section of the code: <h2>* * * * * THERE ARE DEALS ALL OVER VEGAS NOW!!! CLICK HERE  * * * * * </h2> anything below this you can use in your posts and put your info in place of mine. then cut and paste and play around with it on craigs list til you get it right.

Third step will be to go over and start cutting and pasting parts of the code on the ad that will work for you, like how to make fonts bigger, and how to get different colors to appear.  For other info, on like how to show pictures or put flyers up on craigs list click  How To Generate Website Hits To Your Homepage!

Steve, strictly speaking, your code is incorrect. It should be followed by a closing </a> tag, as follows:

Steve....great tips for pictures.  I post on Craigslist as well as Backpage.  Craigslist helps with the links to the website but backlinks are nofollow links which doesn't help you with pagerank.  Backpage is the same as Craigslist but DOES help with pagerank.

sergio: of course backlinks are good for sites....I am not disputing that. this tutorial is for people who receive nada hits for their page, thus titled" How to Generate Website Hits To Your Homepage!"
