Las Vegas Realtor Steve Harless - RE/MAX EXTREME 702.217.1680: Firefighter Loses His Freedom And His Fortune

Firefighter Loses His Freedom And His Fortune

Every American should read this story about Norman Baker

If this could happen to him it could happen to anyone....wow.A retired firefighter who once helped save a child's life, Norman Baker is not suspected of terrorism. He has never been charged with any statutory infraction, and has never been in any kind of trouble with the law.But he has been stripped of his right to vote and access to his own assets, which appear to have been well in excess of $1 million as little as three years ago.

The part of the story that broke my heart this easter, was when he said this, "I never dreamed such a thing could happen in this country," he told the Free Press. "I just want to go home." As a Franklin County firefighter, Norman Baker worked to save lives. Now he must fight to save his own.

Oh my... What a horribly sad story.  It is so absolutely unfair.

Steve,

I read the story of Norman Baker.  What a tear-jerker!!!   So sad that nobody protected his rights.  The judge should be in jail.

Linda: If you could only trace the money and where it went, then you could go after the culprits. As  Americans, we all should be outraged by this story.

Bill: My guess is all the good people were watching FAUX News and listening to Bill O Riley or Sean Hannity, or  observing Elliot Spitzer's "magically timed" meltdown, or watching the stock market spiral happening now. Lots of distractions right now. It's definately time for a well deserved change in the US and looking out for our fellow citizens would be a GREAT 1ST STEP

This is a really terrible story. I am amazed the local media isn't all ovet this; amazed local politicians aren't doing the same. Terrible.
